The Triboci/Civitas Tribocorum association is dedicated to the rigorous reconstruction of the lives of the peoples of the Bas-Rhin region during antiquity. Its scope of activity extends from the 1st century B.C. — marked by the arrival of the Celtic Triboci people—to the 6th century CE, at the dawn of the Merovingian era. Drawing on textual sources and archaeology, the association’s members are committed to conveying an authentic view of the past, accessible to all, in order to move beyond the clichés of antiquity.
For young visitors, a dedicated area will feature the activity “The Little Legionnaire.” This fun and educational workshop allows children to learn about the maneuvers of the Roman army. Guided by enthusiastic volunteers, they’ll learn to march in step, form the famous “turtle” formation, and understand the discipline that was the strength of Rome’s soldiers.

Hun werkterrein strekt zich uit van de 1e eeuw v.Chr. – gekenmerkt door de komst van het Keltische volk van de Triboci – tot de 6e eeuw na Christus, aan het begin van het Merovingische tijdperk. Op basis van schriftelijke bronnen en archeologische vondsten streven de leden van de vereniging ernaar een authentiek beeld van het verleden over te brengen, dat voor iedereen toegankelijk is, om de Oudheid te ontdoen van clichés.

Auf der Grundlage von Schriftquellen und archäologischen Funden sind die Mitglieder des Vereins bestrebt, ein authentisches Bild der Vergangenheit zu vermitteln, das für alle zugänglich ist, um die Antike von Klischees zu befreien.
Für junge Besucher wird in einem eigens dafür vorgesehenen Bereich die Veranstaltung „Der kleine Legionär“ angeboten.
