Oggi, a ottant'anni, continua a tenere accesa la fiamma con lo stesso fervore, circondato da musicisti d'élite che spesso non hanno nemmeno la metà dei suoi anni. Keith Jarrett, Michel Petrucciani, Brad Mehldau, Jason Moran: nel corso degli anni, i più grandi pianisti hanno suonato al suo fianco, una fiaccola ora brillantemente raccolta da Gerald Clayton.
