DIE KIRCHE VON CHASTEL-NOUVEL:
Die Kirche von Chastel-Nouvel, deren Gründung weit zurückreicht, ist den Heiligen Gervais und Protais geweiht.
Sie wurde 1880 erbaut und ersetzte eine mittelalterlicheE9val, das bereits 1605 auf Initiative des Domkapitels von Mende von Pierre Levesville, einem Architekten, der damals am Bau der Kathedrale arbeitete, vollständig wieder aufgebaut worden war.
Von diesem Bauwerk ist bei dem neuen Bau lediglich der Standort erhalten geblieben.
Mit ihrem Turm, der das Eingangsportal überragt, ist sie charakteristisch für die Umbauten, die von den Architekten der Diözese Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts durchgeführt wurden.
Im Inneren weicht die architektonische und ornamentale Nüchternheit einer einheitlichen Innenausstattung aus derselben Epoche.

LA IGLESIA DE CHASTEL-NOUVEL:
De origen muy antiguo, la iglesia de Chastel-Nouvel está dedicada a San Gervasio y San Protaio.
Construida en 1880, sustituyó a un santuario medievalque ya había sido reconstruido por completo por iniciativa del cabildo de Mende en 1605, a cargo de Pierre Levesville, arquitecto que por entonces trabajaba en las obras de la catedral.
De aquel edificio, esta nueva construcción solo conserva la ubicación.
Con su aguja que corona el pórtico de entrada, es un ejemplo característico de las reconstrucciones realizadas por los arquitectos diocesanos a finales del siglo XIX.
En el interior, la sobriedad arquitectónica y ornamental da paso a un conjunto homogéneo de mobiliario de la misma época.

Ze werd in 1880 gebouwd ter vervanging van een middeleeuws heiligdomdat al in 1605 op initiatief van het kapittel van Mende volledig was herbouwd door Pierre Levesville, een architect die destijds aan de kathedraal werkte.
Van dat gebouw heeft deze nieuwe constructie alleen de locatie behouden.
Met zijn torenspits boven het voorportaal is het kenmerkend voor de reconstructies die aan het einde van de 19e eeuw door de architecten van het bisdom werden uitgevoerd.
Binnen maakt de architectonische en decoratieve soberheid plaats voor een homogeen interieur van meubilair uit dezelfde periode.
