En partageant leurs pratiques, leurs questionnements et leurs luttes, elles et ils témoignent de réalités individuelles et parfois discordantes et révèlent toute la complexité de l’adage « nous sommes ce que nous mangeons ».

Néerlandais (Pays-Bas) In een voorstelling waarin theater, radio en koken worden gecombineerd, nodigen Christophe Hocké en Benoît Barbier Lemennais acht boerinnen en boeren uit om hun boerderijen te verlaten en het theaterpodium te betreden. Samen bieden ze een maatschappelijke en vrolijke reflectie op onze relatie met voedsel en de productie ervan. Door hun werkwijzen, hun vragen en hun worstelingen te delen, getuigen zij van individuele en soms tegenstrijdige realiteiten en onthullen zij de volledige complexiteit van het gezegde „we zijn wat we eten“.

Gemeinsam bieten sie eine gesellschaftliche und heitere Reflexion über unser Verhältnis zum Essen und zu dessen Produktion. Indem sie ihre Praktiken, ihre Fragen und ihre Kämpfe teilen, berichten sie von individuellen und manchmal widersprüchlichen Realitäten und offenbaren die ganze Komplexität des Sprichworts „Wir sind, was wir essen“.

Anglais In a show that blends theatre, radio and cooking, Christophe Hocké and Benoît Barbier Lemennais invite eight farmers – both men and women – to leave their farms and take to the stage. Together, they offer a joyful and thought-provoking exploration of our relationship with food and its production. By sharing their practices, their questions and their struggles, they bear witness to individual and sometimes conflicting realities, revealing the full complexity of the adage ‘we are what we eat’.
