Februar 1672. Eingetaucht in dieses so theatralische 17. Jahrhundert schlüpft die Schauspielerin in die Rolle von Madeleine, die am Vorabend ihres Todes noch so temperamentvoll ist.

Madeleine Béjart est un personnage à elle toute seule, même si elle est irrémédiablement liée à son auteur favori au point de mourir un an jour pour jour avant lui, le 17 février 1672. Plongée dans ce XVIIe siècle si théâtral, la comédienne se glisse dans la peau de Madeleine, encore si pétulante à la veille de sa mort.
Et l’on comprend la fascination du jeune Jean-Baptiste lorsqu’il découvre Madeleine, solaire, plantureuse, douée, aimante… Qu’eût-été le théâtre français sans Madeleine Béjart ?
