The poison of jealousy, the thirst for power, and the murderous temptation creep into tormented minds, instilled by witches whose sole goal is the downfall of the Kingdom of Scotland. For this venomous opera, Ambre Kahan weaves a metaphor that is all the more eloquent, reflecting her powerfully evocative world.
Nature gradually encroaches upon the space, reclaiming its rightful place as paranoia and remorse gnaw at the protagonists. The truth will ultimately triumph when the Scottish moors and their rocky fortress have regained their purity, and the Macbeths have washed away their crime in their own blood.
