Originaire de Versailles mais breton de cœur, il a fait de la mer son territoire de prédilection, explorant inlassablement ses rivages, ses ports, ses chantiers navals et ses plages à marée basse.
Sa démarche artistique repose sur une recherche d’authenticité et de présence. Il peint sur le motif, au plus près des éléments, afin de saisir la lumière changeante, les contrastes, les mouvements et la respiration des lieux. D’abord aquarelliste et pastelliste, il s’est naturellement tourné vers la peinture à l’huile.
Qu’il représente un voilier, un port silencieux ou un cimetière marin, son intention demeure la même : susciter l’émotion et offrir un regard sensible sur la relation intime entre l’homme et la mer.
