Anglais A lecture by the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO) on the topic ‘The red kite: conservation and protection’. It will be led by Marc GIROUD, an ornithologist at the LPO Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
Like a figure returning from beyond the heavens, this sovereign of the Franche-Comté skies is making a remarkable and notable comeback with its impressive wingspan. After years of decline, the red kite was in a particularly critical situation in France and in the region. The introduction of an initial national conservation action plan covering 2003–2013 enabled the first conservation measures to be implemented in its favour. With the completion of the new 2018–2027 action plan, we can now take pride in these conservation efforts, whilst remaining vigilant and committed to ensuring this progress is sustained.
Who is this iconic large bird of prey, really? What are its habits, its distinctive features and the threats that still hang over it?

Wie ein aus dem Himmel zurückgekehrter Geist markiert dieser Herrscher der Lüfte der Franche-Comté mit seiner Flügelspannweite eine bemerkenswerte und bemerkenswerte Rückkehr. Nach Jahren des Rückgangs befand sich der Rotmilan in Frankreich und in der Region in einer besonders kritischen Lage. Die Einführung eines ersten nationalen Aktionsplans zum Artenschutz für den Zeitraum 2003–2013 ermöglichte die Umsetzung erster Schutzmaßnahmen zu seinen Gunsten. Après des années de régression, le milan royal était dans une situation particulièrement critique en France et en région. La mise en place d'un premier plan d'action national de préservation sur 2003-2013 a permis le déploiement des premières mesures de conservation en sa faveur. Avec l'aboutissement du nouveau plan d'action 2018-2027, il est maintenant possible de tresser les lauriers de ces mobilisations, tout en restant vigilant et mobilisé pour la pérennisation de ce constat.
