Néerlandais (Pays-Bas) Prélude gaat over de adem, de eerste kreet, de levensbeweging. Choreograaf Kader Attou blikt hierin terug op zijn levensloop: zijn jeugd in een voorstad van Lyon, de ontdekking van het boksen, de schoonheid van bewegingen, de films van Chaplin, de kracht van hiphop als ruimte voor emancipatie.%A0
Als directeur van Cie Accrorap heeft Kader Attou bijgedragen aan de transformatie van hiphop tot een nieuwe dansvorm, waarbij hij het niet alleen beschouwt als een kunst- en onderzoeksdiscipline, maar ook als een middel om getuigenis af te leggen over de menselijke conditie en na te denken over maatschappelijke vraagstukken.
Zijn nieuwe creatie, Prélude, ontvouwt zich als een ademhaling. Gedragen door de elektro-akoestische muziek van Romain Dubois, begint het stuk in stilte en neemt het in intensiteit toe.
