- SEKS, RELIGIES, POLITIEK, omdat.
- GESCHIEDENIS, CULTUUR, MILIEU...

- HISTOIRE, CULTURE, ENVIRONMENT...

Allemand (Allemagne) Sonderausstellung „Retrospectives“ von Bernie Sait vom 3. September bis zum 29. Oktober 2026.
Vernissage am Freitag, den 18. September um 18:00 Uhr
Warum malen?
- GESCHLECHT, RELIGIONEN, POLITIK, weil.
- GESCHICHTE, KULTUR, UMWELT...

Tra pittura a olio e acrilico, carboncino e conté de Paris o semplicemente matita, fino agli inchiostri, cinesi o meno, miscelati o meno.
- COMUNICAZIONE, come e cosa...
- IDENTITÀ UMANA, quando e perché...
- SESSO, RELIGIONI, POLITICA, perché.
- STORIA, CULTURA, AMBIENTE...

Anglais Temporary exhibition “Retrospectives” by Bernie Sait, from 3 September to 29 October 2026.
Opening on Friday 18 September at 6.00 pm
Why paint? A question of language.
My journey as a visual artist began with this question and has led to a language in which statements and observations about the society around me have been reformulated as questions.
Through periods of work and research, major series of artworks have emerged, often underpinned by in-depth exploration of technique.
Ever since I left art school in England in the 1980s, my work has explored materials, techniques, subjects and questions with the same voracity and uncompromising dedication.
My early forays into sculpture have left a significant mark on my drawings and the paintings that followed.
Even years later, through my study of traditional Chinese drawing techniques, these lines still assert their presence in space.
From oil and acrylic paints, charcoal and Conté de Paris, or simply pencil, right through to inks – Chinese or otherwise, mixed or unmixed.
Questions of colour, their values and their interpretations.
And questions of composition, their structures, their tensions and their limitations.
My work unfolds through the following lines of inquiry:
- COMMUNICATION: how and what…
- HUMAN IDENTITY: when and why…
- GENDER, RELIGION, POLITICS: because.
- HISTORY, CULTURE, ENVIRONMENT...
A journey that began with ‘Drawing from life’, moved on to
a ‘shaggy dog story’ and culminated in the series ‘Our Masks’
An exploration of the art of communication in all its absurd and incongruous aspects.

- HISTORIA, CULTURA, MEDIO AMBIENTE...
