Anglais Éric Tabarly was 6 years old when he and his father discovered the famous boat named Pen Duick, which had run aground in a cove. His father bought it, but then wanted to sell it because it was expensive to maintain.

Éric would do everything in his power to buy the boat, building up the mental and physical strength needed to pursue his ambitions and saving every last cent to get the Pen Duick back on the water.

His experience as a pilot in the army, his experience as a sailor at sea, his intuition, and his determination will lead him to win races under incredible conditions and, with disarming modesty, become “The Idol of the Waves”!

Italien (Italie) Éric Tabarly aveva 6 anni quando, insieme a suo padre, scoprì in una baia, arenata, la famosa imbarcazione chiamata Pen Duick. Suo padre la acquistò, ma poi decise di rivenderla perché la manutenzione era costosa.

Éric farà di tutto per riacquistare la barca, forgiandosi una mente e un fisico al servizio delle sue ambizioni e risparmiando ogni singolo centesimo per rimettere in mare la Pen Duick.

Le sue esperienze come pilota nell’esercito, la sua esperienza di navigatore in mare, il suo intuito e la sua determinazione gli permetteranno di vincere regate in condizioni incredibili e di diventare, con disarmante modestia, «L’Idolo delle Onde»!

Espagnol Éric Tabarly tenía 6 años cuando descubrió, junto a su padre, en una ensenada, varado, el famoso barco llamado Pen Duick. Su padre lo compró, pero luego quiso venderlo porque su mantenimiento resultaba caro.

Éric hará todo lo posible por comprar el barco, forjará una mente y un cuerpo a la altura de sus ambiciones y ahorrará hasta el último céntimo para volver a poner a flote el Pen Duick.

Su experiencia como piloto en el ejército, su experiencia como navegante en alta mar, su intuición y su determinación le permitirán ganar regatas en condiciones increíbles y convertirse, con una modestia desarmante, en «El ídolo de las olas».

Éric fera tout pour racheter le bateau, se forgera un mental et un corps au service de ses ambitions et économisera le moindre centime pour remettre à flot le Pen Duick.

Ses expériences de pilote dans l’armée, son expérience de navigateur en mer, son intuition et sa détermination le feront gagner des courses dans des conditions incroyables et devenir, avec une désarmante modestie, L’Idole des Houles !

Allemand (Allemagne) Éric Tabarly war 6 Jahre alt, als er zusammen mit seinem Vater in einer Reede das berühmte Boot namens „Pen Duick“ entdeckte, das dort gestrandet war. Sein Vater kauft es, möchte es dann aber wieder verkaufen, da es teuer in der Wartung ist.

Éric tat alles, um das Boot zurückzukaufen, stählte seinen Geist und seinen Körper im Dienste seiner Ambitionen und sparte jeden Cent, um die „Pen Duick“ wieder flott zu machen.

Seine Erfahrungen als Pilot bei der Armee, seine Erfahrung als Segler auf See, seine Intuition und seine Entschlossenheit werden ihn dazu bringen, Regatten unter unglaublichen Bedingungen zu gewinnen und mit entwaffnender Bescheidenheit zum „Idol der Wellen“ zu werden!
