Allemand (Allemagne) Der Archéo?site war ursprünglich eine archäologische Stätte, die zwischen 1979 und 1986 ausgegraben wurde und in der 9 gallo-römische Keller, 342 merowingische Gräber sowie Silos und Pfostenlöcher entdeckt wurden, die auf eine nachkarolingische Siedlung hinweisen. Der Besuch des Archäo?site vermittelt einen Einblick in die Methoden der Archäologie und das Alltagsleben. Er stellt den Faden wieder her, der uns mit allen Menschen verbindet, die vor mehr als 1000 Jahren in diesem Tal der Oberschelde gelebt haben... Regelmäßige Führungen (jeden Sonntag um 15 Uhr), pädagogische Workshops für Erwachsene und Kinder. Einen Sonntag im Monat bietet die Rekonstruktionsgruppe "Vinciaco" die Möglichkeit, das soziale und wirtschaftliche Leben einer karolingischen Dorfeinheit nach den Grundsätzen der experimentellen Archäologie vor dem Publikum darzustellen: Rekonstruktion von Weizen- und Flachsfeldern, Rekonstruktion von merowingischem und karolingischem Mobiliar, Einrichtung verschiedener handwerklicher Tätigkeiten: Schmiede, Textilien, Holzbearbeitung, Küche, Leder...
Espagnol El yacimiento de Arceo fue originalmente un yacimiento arqueológico, excavado entre 1979 y 1986, donde se descubrieron 9 bodegas galo-romanas, 342 tumbas merovingias y silos y hoyos de poste que sugerían la existencia de un asentamiento post-carolingio. La visita al yacimiento arqueológico permite conocer los métodos arqueológicos y la vida cotidiana. Nos conecta con todas las personas que vivieron en este valle del Haut-Escaut hace más de 1.000 años... Visitas guiadas regulares (todos los domingos a las 15 h), talleres didácticos para adultos y niños. Un domingo al mes, el grupo de recreación "Vinciaco" recrea para el público la vida social y económica de una unidad aldeana carolingia, basándose en los principios de la arqueología experimental: recreación de parcelas de trigo y lino, recreación de mobiliario merovingio y carolingio, montaje de diversas actividades artesanales: forja, textil, carpintería, cocina, cuero, etc.
Néerlandais (Pays-Bas) De Archéo-site was oorspronkelijk een archeologische site, opgegraven tussen 1979 en 1986, waar 9 Gallo-Romeinse kelders, 342 Merovingische graven en silo's en paalgaten werden ontdekt die het bestaan van een post-Karolingische nederzetting suggereerden. Een bezoek aan de Archéo-site geeft inzicht in archeologische methoden en het dagelijks leven. Het brengt ons in contact met alle mensen die meer dan 1000 jaar geleden in deze vallei van de Haut-Escaut leefden... Regelmatige rondleidingen (elke zondag om 15 uur), educatieve workshops voor volwassenen en kinderen. Een zondag per maand recreëert de groep "Vinciaco" voor het publiek het sociale en economische leven van een Karolingische dorpseenheid, volgens de principes van experimentele archeologie: naspelen van graan- en vlaspercelen, naspelen van Merovingische en Karolingische meubels, opzetten van verschillende ambachtelijke activiteiten: smederij, textiel, houtbewerking, koken, leer, enz.

La visite de l’Archéo’site donne à comprendre les méthodes de l’archéologie et la vie quotidienne. Elle renoue le fil qui nous relie à tous les hommes qui ont vécu dans cette vallée du Haut-Escaut, il y a plus de1000 ans…Visites guidées régulières (tous les dimanches à 15h), ateliers pédagogiques pour les adultes et les enfants. Un dimanche par mois, le groupe de reconstitution "Vinciaco" propose de restituer face au public la vie sociale et économique d'une unité villageoise carolingienne en s'appuyant sur les principes de l'archéologie expérimentale : reconstitution de parcelles de blé et de lin, reconstitution de mobilier mérovingien et carolingien, mise en place de différentes activités artisanales : forge, textile, travail du bois, cuisine, cuir...

La visita al sito Archéo permette di conoscere i metodi archeologici e la vita quotidiana. Ci collega a tutte le persone che hanno vissuto in questa valle dell'Haut-Escaut più di 1.000 anni fa... Visite guidate regolari (ogni domenica alle 15.00), laboratori didattici per adulti e bambini. Una domenica al mese, il gruppo di rievocazione "Vinciaco" ricrea per il pubblico la vita sociale ed economica di un'unità di villaggio carolingia, basandosi sui principi dell'archeologia sperimentale: rievocazione di appezzamenti di grano e lino, rievocazione di mobili merovingi e carolingi, allestimento di varie attività artigianali: fucina, tessuti, lavorazione del legno, cucina, cuoio, ecc.

A visit to the Archéo?site provides an insight into archaeological methods and daily life. It reconnects us with all the people who lived in this Upper Scheldt valley over 1,000 years ago... Regular guided tours (every Sunday at 3pm), educational workshops for adults and children. One Sunday a month, the "Vinciaco" re-enactment group recreates for the public the social and economic life of a Carolingian village unit, based on the principles of experimental archaeology: re-enactment of wheat and flax plots, re-enactment of Merovingian and Carolingian furniture, setting up of various craft activities: forging, textiles, woodworking, cooking, leatherwork...
