L’autoharp avrebbe potuto rimanere uno strumento dedicato a questa musica rurale fino a quando un musicista di Nantes, Patrick COUTON, non decise di utilizzarlo in modo melodico. Ha iniziato a suonare una moltitudine di brani diversi per dimostrare le potenzialità dello strumento. Patrick ne ha segnato in modo duraturo l’evoluzione.
