Anglais In 2013 in Burkina Faso, Julien Desailly met Adama Koeta, a master of the n’goni and kora. The rapport between the two men was as much a musical one as it was a personal one. They embarked on a collaboration that blended their respective styles: Irish and West African music. The duo were then joined by Julien Moneret, who brought his skills as a jazz double bassist to the project.
Iguerande is already familiar with them, as they performed at the Awaranda Festival in 2019. They’re back this year with some new tracks!

Espagnol En 2013, en Burkina Faso, Julien Desailly conoció a Adama Koeta, un gran intérprete del n’goni y la kora. La compenetración entre ambos fue tanto musical como humana. Iniciaron una colaboración en la que se fusionaban sus respectivos estilos: la música irlandesa y la de África Occidental. Posteriormente, al dúo se une Julien Moneret, que aporta al proyecto sus dotes como contrabajista de jazz.

Allemand (Allemagne) Im Jahr 2013 lernte Julien Desailly in Burkina Faso Adama Koeta kennen, einen hervorragenden N’goni- und Kora-Spieler. Die beiden verstanden sich sowohl musikalisch als auch menschlich auf Anhieb. Sie begannen eine Zusammenarbeit, in der sich ihre jeweiligen Stile – irische und westafrikanische Musik – miteinander verbanden. Später stößt Julien Moneret zum Duo hinzu, der seine Qualitäten als Jazz-Kontrabassist in das Projekt einbringt.

Néerlandais (Pays-Bas) In 2013 ontmoette Julien Desailly in Burkina Faso Adama Koeta, een meester op de n’goni en de kora. De klik tussen de twee mannen was zowel muzikaal als persoonlijk. Ze begonnen een samenwerking waarin hun respectievelijke stijlen – Ierse en West-Afrikaanse muziek – samenkwamen. Vervolgens wordt het duo versterkt door Julien Moneret, die zijn kwaliteiten als jazzcontrabassist inbrengt in het project.
