Door oordelen te vermijden en een rijke diversiteit te portretteren, scherpt deze voorstelling het kritisch denken aan over de ongelooflijke veranderingen die de samenleving in slechts enkele decennia heeft ondergaan: van de pater familias tot het homopaar, Pères opent de deur naar ultra-actuele vragen. De ingenieuze en speelse podiumopstelling is als een grote muur van archieven, een soort schoolfries.

Sie geben die Lebensgeschichten zu Gehör, erzählen aber auch von sich selbst. Durch den Verzicht auf ein Urteil und die Darstellung einer schönen Vielfalt schärft dieses Stück den kritischen Geist hinsichtlich der unglaublichen Entwicklung der Gesellschaft in wenigen Jahrzehnten: vom pater familias bis zum gleichgeschlechtlichen Paar öffnet Pères den Blick auf ultra-zeitgemäße Fragen. Que peut l’action politique face à la tyrannie ? Sur scène, des colonnes brisées évoquent les ruines d’un régime trop fragile pour porter les idéaux qu’il prétend défendre.
