Als ich den See in der Ferne vom Steuer meines Autos aus erblickte, bin ich wie hypnotisiert von der Schönheit der herrlichen weißlichen Dünen und den intensiven Lichtreflexen auf der Oberfläche, die mich glauben lassen, ich hätte eine Oase erreicht, in der ich endlich meinen Durst stillen und Ruhe finden werde. Doch kaum bin ich aus dem Fahrzeug ausgestiegen, schlägt mir ein übelriechender Geruch entgegen: Der Ort ist trostlos, in einer </span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">Umgebung</span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);">wüstenartiger und karger Umgebung, voller Salz und Pestizide. Toen ik vanuit mijn auto in de verte het meer zag liggen, raak ik betoverd door de schoonheid van prachtige witachtige duinen en intense lichtreflecties op het wateroppervlak, waardoor ik denk dat ik een oase heb bereikt waar ik eindelijk mijn dorst kan lessen en rust kan vinden. As I spotted the lake in the distance while driving, I was mesmerized by the beauty of the magnificent whitish dunes and the intense shimmering reflections on the water’s surface, which made me believe I had reached an oasis where I would finally quench my thirst and find rest. But as soon as I step out of the car, I’m hit by a foul stench: the site is desolate, in a </span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">envir</span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);">desert-like and arid landscape, saturated with salt and pesticides.
