The show begins in nothingness and ends in a joyful fireworks display, resembling—in some ways—the creation of the universe. Throughout their story, the demiurgic actresses will lay out an incredible array of somewhat whimsical objects and props on the table. They take turns transforming into eccentric and impulsive goddesses, storytellers, and landscapes. The aesthetic lies at the intersection of polished realism and outlandish kitsch. With plenty of humor and ingenuity, this Belgian show blends mythology, object theater, and astronomy. It offers us what matters most: stories that make us think about and dream of the world.
