Anglais Philippe takes you on a tour of the Cyanotype, a photographic printing technique invented in 1842 that produces a cyan-blue, Prussian-blue photograph
cyan blue, Prussian blue photograph. Each child brushes a photosensitive solution onto a sheet of drawing paper, then applies a negative of his or her choice on top. The whole thing is then exposed to ultraviolet light (in the sun or with a sunblower, depending on weather conditions).
Finally, a dip in a water bath and the miracle happens. The photo appears as if by magic.
