Yves-Marie Le Texier, zoon van een boer die acteur en verteller is geworden, verkent dit idee met humor, poëzie en menselijkheid. Terwijl hij in zijn jeugdherinneringen op de boerderij snuffelt, legt Yves-Marie Le Texier de basis voor een beschouwing over deze evolutie en de uitdagingen waarmee de landbouwsector van vandaag te maken heeft: het platteland, het onbehagen onder boeren, het milieu, de agro-economie...
