„L’échappée – Récit d’un cycliste“ zeichnet in einem Ein-Mann-Stück, das uns vom Lachen zu den Tränen rührt, den Werdegang von Cyril Fragnière nach, einem ehemaligen Radrennfahrer, der zum Schauspieler wurde.
Mit 15 Jahren ist Cyril ein schüchterner und zurückhaltender Teenager. Sein Vater schenkt ihm ein Rennrad: Das ist die Offenbarung. Er reiht einen Sieg an den anderen, schafft es bis in die Nachwuchsmannschaft eines renommierten französischen Teams, doch seine Schüchternheit kommt wieder zum Vorschein und hindert ihn daran, seinen Traum zu verwirklichen. Da verändert eine Begegnung mit einem Regisseur seinen Lebensweg grundlegend.

"L’échappée – Récit d’un cycliste" retrace, dans un seul en scène qui nous fait passer du rire aux larmes, le parcours de Cyril Fragnière, ancien coureur cycliste devenu comédien.
À 15 ans, Cyril est un adolescent timide et réservé. Son père lui offre un vélo de course : c’est la révélation. Il enchaîne les victoires, rejoint l’antichambre d’une prestigieuse équipe française mais sa timidité refait surface et l’empêche de réaliser son rêve. C’est alors qu’une rencontre avec un metteur en scène bouleverse sa trajectoire.
Dans ce récit autobiographique, l’ancien cycliste Cyril Fragnière nous raconte son parcours avec humour et émotion. Il fait des parallèles entre les artistes et les sportifs en incarnant des personnages truculents, faisant tous l’éloge de la bicyclette…

He racked up victory after victory and made it to the reserve squad of a prestigious French team, but his shyness resurfaced and prevented him from realising his dream. It was then that a meeting with a theatre director completely changed the course of his life.
In this autobiographical tale, former cyclist Cyril Fragnière recounts his journey with humour and emotion. He draws parallels between artists and sportspeople by bringing to life colourful characters, all of whom sing the praises of the bicycle…
