Anglais Lecture "50 European Railway Stations: Cathedrals of Modernity" by Alfonso Marco, contemporary history graduate from the University of Zaragoza and author.
This lecture invites you to discover a little-known heritage, a symbol of monumentality and beauty, at the heart of the railway world
of the railway world. Far more than mere urban gateways, railway stations are cathedrals of progress, temples of the contemporary era.
They have left their mark on architecture from the 19th to the 21st century, combining functionality and aesthetics, engineering and art. Although railway stations are at the heart of the rail network, this conference is not about railroads, but about art, culture, heritage and tourism?an invitation to travel and learn.
