De naam verwijst naar de stichomythie, een vorm van theaterdialoog die bestaat uit korte replieken die elkaar met ritme en intensiteit beantwoorden.
Het gezelschap steunt op een team van acteurs en technici, dat regelmatig wordt aangevuld met gastartiesten uit andere gezelschappen, in een sfeer van uitwisseling, samenwerking en gezelligheid. Daarnaast wordt het gezelschap bijgestaan door professionals op het gebied van grafische vormgeving, fotografie, make-up en video om elk van zijn creaties optimaal tot zijn recht te laten komen.
Sinds de oprichting heeft Stichomythie & Compagnies verschillende voorstellingen opgevoerd, waaronder *Momentanément décédée*, *Joyeux Noël bordel*, *Ma vie d’artiste*, *Plutôt survivre*, Le Père Noël est une ordure, 8 Femmes en Espèces menacées.
Het gezelschap zet zich in voor het doorgeven van theatervaardigheden en biedt daarom ook een toneelschool aan voor kinderen en jongeren tot19 jaar, waar artistieke ontplooiing en het plezier in het spelen centraal staan.

Per ongeluk heeft Yvon in de RER zijn aktetas verwisseld met die van een onbekende.
In die tas, waarin zijn handschoenen en zijn broodje zaten, zitten nu miljoenen.
Om aan onvermijdelijke represailles te ontkomen, besluit hij de eerste vlucht naar Buenos Aires te nemen.
Maar hij had geen rekening gehouden met de hardnekkige weigering van zijn vrouw, de opeenvolgende bemoeienissen van een stel ongewenste vrienden, van een dubieuze politieagent, een pietluttige commissaris, een opvliegende taxichauffeur en de komst van een moordenaar die vastbesloten is zijn schuld in te vorderen.

Opgericht in 2016, is Stichomythie & Compagnies een theatergezelschap dat bestaat uit enthousiastelingen die graag auteurs onder de aandacht brengen en hun liefde voor het toneel willen delen.
