Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Django Reinhardt, Eddie Lang.. Estas leyendas abrieron el camino a un estilo musical revolucionario que ha atravesado épocas y continentes. Los L.A. Swing Cats hunden sus raíces en esta herencia.
Tras un viaje musical a Nueva Orleans, el guitarrista Thomas Le Briz decidió formar un grupo que fusionara el jazz gitano con la energía del swing de Nueva Orleans. Al reinterpretar los estándares del swing americano mediante arreglos únicos y basándose en ritmos tradicionales franceses, el grupo insufla nueva vida a este género emblemático.
Compañeros de música y amigos desde hace mucho tiempo, Thomas recurrió naturalmente al guitarrista y cantante Lorenzo Muccio, al contrabajista Arnaud Gobin y al clarinetista Gaël Martin. Estos cuatro músicos, impregnados de las dos culturas del swing -la francesa y la estadounidense-, formaron un conjunto perfectamente compenetrado.
El resultado es The L.A Swing Cats, un grupo de jazz auténtico, vibrante e inolvidable

À la suite d’un voyage musical à la Nouvelle-Orléans, le guitariste Thomas Le Briz décide de créer un groupe fusionnant le jazz manouche avec l’énergie du swing de la Nouvelle-Orléans. En réinterprétant les standards du swing américain à travers des arrangements uniques et en s’appuyant sur la rythmique traditionnelle française, le groupe insuffle une nouvelle vie à ce genre emblématique.
Compagnons musicaux et amis de longue date, Thomas se tourne naturellement vers le guitariste et chanteur Lorenzo Muccio, le contrebassiste Arnaud Gobin, et le clarinettiste Gaël Martin. Ces quatre musiciens, chacun imprégnés des deux cultures du swing — française et américaine — forment ainsi un ensemble parfaitement soudé.

Na een muzikale reis naar New Orleans besloot gitarist Thomas Le Briz een groep op te richten die zigeunerjazz combineert met de energie van New Orleans swing. Door Amerikaanse swingstandards te herinterpreteren aan de hand van unieke arrangementen en te putten uit traditionele Franse ritmes, blaast de groep dit emblematische genre nieuw leven in.
Thomas, die al lange tijd muzikale metgezellen en vrienden zijn, wendde zich op natuurlijke wijze tot gitarist en zanger Lorenzo Muccio, contrabassist Arnaud Gobin en klarinettist Gaël Martin. Deze vier muzikanten, elk doordrenkt van de twee swingculturen - Frans en Amerikaans - vormden een perfect samengesmolten ensemble.
