Het %AB landschapstheater %BB dat auteur en regisseur Alexandre Koutchevsky beoefent, is gebaseerd op de poëtische en theatrale kracht van voorstellingen %E0 de open lucht. De teksten worden geschreven en geënsceneerd voor en door het landschap. Samen met zijn team van trouwe acteurs vestigt hij zich in een bunker om de Tweede Wereldoorlog op te roepen (Blockhaus, opgevoerd in 2014, 2015 en 2018 in Mousterlin), in een bos om over identiteit te spreken (%C7a s’%E9crit T-C-H in 2017 %E0 Kerbader) of aan zee om de transatlantische slavenhandel te behandelen (Rivages in 2021 %E0 Beg-Meil).
In twintig jaar van buitenvoorstellingen hebben ze regelmatig op allerlei soorten hellingen gespeeld. Ze hebben geëxperimenteerd met manieren om hiermee te spelen, zonder – tot nu toe – er een werkonderwerp op zich van te maken.
In *En Pente* wordt de helling een onderwerp op zich, een onderwerp van onderzoek dat tegelijkertijd poëtisch, speels en reflectief is. Beklimmen, klimmen, afdalen, rollen, glijden, omhoog gaan, vallen, naar beneden suizen… De confrontatie met een helling is een bijna kinderlijke fysieke ervaring. Hier is de helling ook de bron van poëtische, wetenschappelijke en historische overpeinzingen en concepten (de verovering van de toppen, de zwaartekracht, de religie?).

I testi sono scritti e messi in scena per e dal paesaggio. Con la sua %Equipe di com%E9dien%B7ne%B7s fid%E8les, si insedia su un bunker per %Evochare la Seconda Guerra Mondiale (Blockhaus jou%E9 nel 2014, 2015 e 2018 a Mousterlin), in un bosco per parlare di identità (%C7a s’%E9crit T-C-H nel 2017 %E0 Kerbader) o in riva al mare per affrontare il tema della tratta transatlantica degli schiavi (Rivages nel 2021 %E0 Beg-Meil).
In vent’anni di creazioni all’aperto, hanno regolarmente recitato su pendii di ogni tipo. Hanno sperimentato modi di interagire con esse, senza però – almeno fino ad ora – farne un oggetto di lavoro a sé stante.
In *En Pente*, l’inclinazione diventa un tema a sé stante, un oggetto di ricerca al tempo stesso poetico, ludico e riflessivo. Scalare, arrampicarsi, scendere, rotolare, scivolare, salire, cadere, sfrecciare… Confrontarsi con un pendio è un’esperienza fisica quasi infantile. Qui, il pendio è anche fonte di riflessioni e concetti poetici, scientifici e storici (la conquista delle vette, la gravità, la religione?).

Das „Landschaftstheater“, das der Autor und Regisseur Alexandre Koutchevsky praktiziert, beruht auf der poetischen und theatralischen Kraft von Aufführungen unter freiem Himmel. Die Texte werden für und durch die Landschaft geschrieben und inszeniert. Zusammen mit seinem treuen %Schauspielerteam% lässt er sich auf einem Bunker nieder, um den Zweiten Weltkrieg zu thematisieren (%Blockhaus% aufgeführt 2014, 2015 und 2018 in Mousterlin), in einem Wald, um über Identität zu sprechen („%C7a s’%E9crit T-C-H“ im Jahr 2017 in Kerbader) oder am Meer, um den transatlantischen Sklavenhandel zu thematisieren („Rivages“ im Jahr 2021 in Beg-Meil).
In zwanzig Jahren des Schaffens im Freien haben sie regelmäßig an Hängen aller Art gespielt. Sie haben mit verschiedenen Arten des Spielens auf diesen Hängen experimentiert, ohne – bis jetzt – dies jedoch zu einem eigenständigen Arbeitsschwerpunkt zu machen.
In „En Pente“ wird die Neigung zu einem eigenständigen Thema, zu einem Forschungsgegenstand, der zugleich poetisch, spielerisch und reflektierend ist. Aufsteigen, klettern, hinabsteigen, rollen, rutschen, hinaufsteigen, stürzen, hinunterrutschen … Sich mit einem Hang auseinanderzusetzen, ist eine fast kindliche körperliche Erfahrung. Hier ist der Hang auch Quelle für Reflexionen und poetische, wissenschaftliche und historische Konzepte (die Eroberung der Gipfel, die Schwerkraft, die Religion?).

The “landscape theater” practiced by author and director Alexandre Koutchevsky draws on the poetic and theatrical power of open-air performances. The plays are written and staged for and by the landscape. With his team of loyal actors, he sets up shop in a bunker to evoke World War II (Blockhaus performed in 2014, 2015, and 2018 in Mousterlin), in a forest to explore identity (*C’est écrit T-C-H* in 2017 in Kerbader) or by the sea to address the transatlantic slave trade (*Rivages* in 2021 in Beg-Meil).
Over twenty years of outdoor performances, they have regularly performed on slopes of all kinds. They have experimented with ways to play with these slopes, without—until now—making them a subject of their work in and of themselves.
In *En Pente*, the slope becomes a subject in its own right, an object of exploration that is at once poetic, playful, and reflective.
