Au 19e siècle, Nogent était encore l’un des 12 marchés aux bestiaux les plus importants du département. C’est une des raisons pour laquelle la municipalité tient à redonner au marché une place importante en favorisant le développement du marché du jeudi matin qui se tient sur le parking face à la mairie.
