Grande collezionista di musica, seppe inoltre circondarsi di musicisti di fama nella seconda metà del XVIII secolo, tra cui Wilhelm Friedemann e Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Quest’ultimo, insieme ad altri grandi nomi dell’epoca come Carl Friedrich Abel, seppe coniugare le nuove idee musicali con l’arte della viola da gamba. È proprio quest’arte, che Christophe Coin padroneggia alla perfezione, che potremo ascoltare in questo concerto, in cui le corde del pianoforte di Arnaud De Pasquale dialogheranno con quelle della viola da gamba. Questi brani, raramente eseguiti in concerto a causa del loro grande virtuosismo, non mancheranno di sorprenderci.

Ce dernier, ainsi que quelques autres grands noms de l’époque comme Carl Friedrich Abel, a su associer aux nouvelles idées musicales l’art de la viole de gambe.
