Jahrhunderts anhand ihrer "Materialitäten" zu präsentieren. Jahrhunderts zu präsentieren. Darunter verstehen wir die Objekte, die sie hinterlassen hat: sensible und authentische Spuren, die den Konflikt von innen heraus erzählen.
Die Ausstellung bietet einen intimen Einblick in den Krieg aus drei Blickwinkeln: dem der Soldaten und dem Handwerk der Schützengräben, dem der Familien mit ihren Trauerobjekten und dem der kriegführenden Gesellschaften, die bis heute eine Vielzahl von Objekten der Repräsentation und Erinnerung hervorgebracht haben.
