All'interno delle sue mura, il centro ospita eventi per promuovere la cultura scientifica: attività, mostre, conferenze, incontri, giornate di studio, spettacoli? Esplora diverse strade per offrire un programma che mette in mostra la ricerca e fa luce su temi contemporanei: l'intelligenza artificiale e la tecnologia digitale, il clima e la biodiversità, la salute, la promozione delle carriere delle donne scienziato e la fertilizzazione incrociata tra arti e scienze.L'Espace Mendès France dis Centre de culture scientifique, technique et industrielle situé dans le centre historique de Poitiers, l’Espace Mendès France doit son origine à des chercheurs de l’université de Poitiers et des passionnés qui, à la fin des années 1970, sont allés à la rencontre des habitants pour débattre de sujets scientifiques et démontrer, “manip” à l’appui, que la science pouvait être accessible, et même réjouissante ! Dans ses murs, le centre accueille des actions de diffusion de la culture scientifique : animations, expositions, conférences, rencontres, journées d’études, spectacles… Il explore plusieurs axes pour proposer une programmation qui donne à voir la recherche et éclaire les enjeux contemporains : intelligence artificielle et numérique, climat et biodiversité, santé, valorisation du parcours des femmes scientifiques, ou encore croisements entre arts et sciences.L’Espace Mendès France dis Het Espace Mendès France, een centrum voor wetenschappelijke, technische en industriële cultuur in het historische centrum van Poitiers, is ontstaan dankzij onderzoekers van de universiteit van Poitiers en enthousiastelingen die aan het eind van de jaren zeventig naar de buurtbewoners toegingen om over wetenschappelijke onderwerpen te praten en met "manipulatie" aan te tonen dat wetenschap toegankelijk en zelfs leuk kon zijn! Binnen zijn muren organiseert het centrum evenementen om de wetenschappelijke cultuur te promoten: activiteiten, tentoonstellingen, conferenties, vergaderingen, studiedagen, voorstellingen?
