- la mostra temporanea "Pierre Loti, un marinaio alla fine del secolo" (fino a giugno 2024 - in collaborazione con il comune di Ploubazlanec)
Un viaggio attraverso l'opera di Pierre Loti per scoprire le molteplici sfaccettature di quest'uomo complesso, cronista della storia e della geografia del mondo così come lo conosceva. Da guardiamarina a capitano di Marina, Loti ha navigato in tutto il mondo e ha assistito da vicino alle grandi trasformazioni dell'inizio del XX secolo. Ha documentato questi cambiamenti in più di 50 storie, tra cui Pêcheur d'Islande (Pescatore d'Islanda), un romanzo che fa luce sulla pesca d'altura nella regione di Paimpol. Attraverso la penna di questo scrittore estroso e inclassificabile, la mostra ripercorre anche la carriera di un marinaio che ha vissuto i conflitti globali e la rapida evoluzione delle navi.

Il les documente dans plus de 50 récits parmi lesquels Pêcheur d’Islande, roman qui met en lumière la grande pêche dans le pays de Paimpol. A travers la plume de cet écrivain fantaisiste et inclassable, l’exposition retrace aussi le parcours d’un marin qui a connu les conflits planétaires et l’évolution rapide des navires.

Milmarin is also a tourist information center and ambassador for the Guingamp-Baie de Paimpol tourist office, which has been awarded the Espace Mer and Accueil Vélo labels.

You can visit 2 exhibition areas:
- the temporary exhibition "Pierre Loti, a sailor at the turn of the century" (until June 2024 - in partnership with the commune of Ploubazlanec)
Take a journey through the work of Pierre Loti and discover the many facets of this complex man, chronicler of the history and geography of the world as he knew it. From midshipman to captain in the French Navy, Loti sailed the world and witnessed at close quarters the great transformations of the early 20th century. He documented these changes in more than 50 stories, including Pêcheur d?Islande, a novel that highlights the fishing industry in the Paimpol region. Through the pen of this unclassifiable and whimsical writer, the exhibition also retraces the career of a sailor who experienced global conflicts and the rapid evolution of ships.
