Anglais 2L is a Parisian rapper who is both dreamy and socially conscious, and is now establishing herself as one of the most promising figures in socially conscious rap. In 2020, she co-founded the collective Le Secteur, a creative hub where she took her first steps in rap. Following this collective experience, she quickly turned her attention to a solo career, performing at numerous open-mic nights – notably at the Scred Boutique – and incorporating the electric violin into her live performances.
From the very start, 2L has stood out for her technique and her choice of the perfect word. She champions an authentic, unpretentious style of rap; that of a young woman who refuses to conform to traditional norms and who claims her place in a scene where female voices remain largely unheard.
Following her debut EP in 2022, she has been building a steady stream of projects and live appearances, moving from Parisian open-mic nights to supporting established artists. Her victory at the RappeuZ talent contest (2023), her acclaimed performance at the Demi Festival (2024) and her victory at the Rappeuses en Liberté talent contest (2024) marked decisive milestones in her career. In February 2025, she cemented her artistic identity with the EP *Fugue*, an introspective and assertive project.
Spotted for her sophisticated lyricism, 2L took part in *Nouvelle École* (Netflix), where she reached a new milestone by standing out for her flow and the power of her lyrics. This media exposure revealed an artist capable of blending form, substance and emotion with rare mastery.
Now signed to Hall 26 Records, a label founded by rappers Souffrance & Tony Toxik (L’Uzine), 2L has built a strong team that aligns with her artistic vision. She embodies a new generation of clear-sighted and free-spirited artists, ready to restore a sense of poetry and truth to French rap.
