L’un des fils rouges de la donation de Pierre et Denise Lévy est la représentation du monde industriel, Pierre Lévy étant lui-même un important entrepreneur de la bonneterie à Troyes. De "La Banlieue de Seurat" aux "Usines à Chatou" de Vlaminck, en passant par les "Usines de guerre" de Vuillard, la collection du MAM de Troyes offre un panorama des grandes transformations du travail au tournant du 20e siècle : urbanisation galopante, industrialisation triomphante et profondes mutations du monde ouvrier.
