Stellen Sie sich vor, Charles Trenet sitzt in einem verrauchten Club in Harlem und entdeckt amüsiert das lebhafte und beschwingte Klavierspiel von Thomas „Fats“ Waller. Da steht unser %AB „Fou chantant“%BB, ohne zu zögern, schlüpft zwischen den Tischen hindurch, nähert sich dem Klavier, angezogen von diesem Swing, der ihm so ähnlich ist. Trenet stimmt daraufhin %AB „Boom, quand notre cœur fait Boom“ %BB an, und seine Stimme verschmilzt sofort, wie durch Zauberei, mit dem Stride von %AB „Fats“ %BB Waller.
Der Saal hält den Atem an: Zwei Welten begegnen sich, zwei Vorstellungswelten erkennen sich wieder?
Es gibt Begegnungen, die nie stattgefunden haben? und die dennoch so %E9vident%E9 erscheinen!

Quando Charles Trenet incontra Fats Waller
Immaginate Charles Trenet seduto in un locale fumoso di Harlem mentre scopre, divertito, il pianoforte vivace ed esuberante di Thomas %AB Fats %BB Waller. È allora che il nostro %AB Fou chantant %BB, senza pensarci due volte, si alza, si fa strada tra i tavoli, si avvicina al pianoforte, attratto da quello swing che gli assomiglia. Trenet intona allora %AB Boom, quand notre c?ur fait Boom %BB, e la sua voce si fonde immediatamente, come per magia, con lo stride di %AB Fats %BB Waller.
La sala trattiene il respiro: due mondi si incontrano, due immaginari si riconoscono…
Ci sono incontri che non hanno mai avuto luogo… e che eppure sembrano così %E9videnti!

Imaginez Charles Trenet installé dans un club enfumé de Harlem découvrant, hilare, le piano bondissant et jubilatoire de Thomas « Fats » Waller. C’est alors que notre « Fou chantant », sans réfléchir se lève, glisse entre les tables, s’approche du piano, appelé par ce swing qui lui ressemble. Trenet entonne alors « Boom, quand notre cœur fait Boom », sa voix se mêle aussitôt, comme par magie, au stride de « Fats » Waller.
La salle retient son souffle : deux mondes se rencontrent, deux imaginaires se reconnaissent…
Il y a des rencontres qui n’ont jamais eu lieu… et qui pourtant semblent tellement évidentes !

Cuando Charles Trenet se encuentra con Fats Waller
Imagina a Charles Trenet sentado en un club lleno de humo de Harlem, descubriendo, entre risas, el piano vibrante y jubiloso de Thomas «Fats» Waller. Es entonces cuando nuestro «Fou chantant», sin pensárselo dos veces, se levanta, se desliza entre las mesas y se acerca al piano, atraído por ese swing que tanto se parece a él. Trenet entona entonces «Boom, quand notre cœur fait Boom», y su voz se mezcla de inmediato, como por arte de magia, con el stride de «Fats» Waller.
La sala contiene la respiración: dos mundos se encuentran, dos imaginarios se reconocen…
Hay encuentros que nunca han tenido lugar… ¡y que, sin embargo, parecen tan evidentes!

Imagine Charles Trenet sitting in a smoky Harlem club, laughing as he discovers the lively, jubilant piano playing of Thomas “Fats” Waller. That’s when our “Singing Madman,” without a moment’s hesitation, gets up, weaves his way through the tables, and approaches the piano, drawn by a swing that mirrors his own spirit. Trenet then strikes up “Boom, When Our Hearts Go Boom,” his voice immediately blending, as if by magic, with Fats Waller’s stride.
The audience holds its breath: two worlds collide, two imaginations recognize each other…
There are encounters that never actually happened… and yet seem so %E9videntes!
