Aurore VOILQUE : violon / chant ; Yannis CONSTANS : guitare ; Joris VIQUESNEL : guitare ;
Fabricio NICOLAS GARCIA: contrebasse ; Julie SAURY : batterie

Anglais Jazz Conilhac is back for a new season!
A musician and violinist since the age of 4, Aurore Voilqué now adds her voice to that of her violin. Her playing follows in the pure tradition of Stéphane Grappelli.
Having accompanied the famous organist Rhoda Scott on stage, she was also part of the 2025 tour for Thomas Dutronc’s latest album.
Classically trained, she studied under Pierre Blanchard and honed her skills through collaborations with Dorado, Sanson, Tchavolo Schmitt, Sébastien Giniaux, and Lemmy Constantine. In 2004, she decided to form her own acoustic swing group, which would later become the Aurore Voilqué Quartet.
Aurore’s voice and incomparable wit complement her bowing, enhanced by the contributions of her fellow musicians.
She has 15 albums to her credit and has performed at numerous prestigious jazz festivals (Marciac, Vienne, La Baule, Nîmes, etc.) and on the stages of many jazz clubs (Duc des Lombards, Sunset, Petit Journal Montparnasse, Méridien Jazz Café Montparnasse). In 2009, she was even invited, along with Sanson Schmitt, to perform at the famous and legendary New York club Birdland.
Behind the Aurore Voilqué Quintet are five musicians who breathe new life into the sounds of the 1930s and 1940s.
Led by the violinist, the group is just as comfortable playing old classics by Django Reinhardt as they are performing their own compositions. Her influences stem not only from the indispensable Django but also from Stéphane Grappelli, who helped her develop her passion for Gypsy jazz, to which her violin adds a youthful sparkle, sometimes with a few Yiddish accents.
Breathing new life into gypsy jazz by adding lyrics reminiscent of modern French chanson, the band has just released its sixth album. An album marked by a much more “lounge” approach, where contemporary jazz has more of a place than the wild swing of typical gypsy jazz compositions.
A true force of nature on stage, Aurore Voilqué shares a complete rapport with the musicians who are her partners in this musical adventure.
The ecstasy is total; it’s pure joy on stage.
