Anglais More than 400 works from the contemporary art collections of the Occitanie Region—the FRAC Occitanie Montpellier, the FRAC Occitanie Toulouse, and the MRAC Occitanie—will be displayed throughout the museum’s galleries. Fabrice Bousteau, curator and editorial director of Beaux-Arts Magazine, was invited to design a bold, large-scale exhibition.
Built on a hybrid approach, it combines traditional research with the exploration of artificial intelligence tools applied to the classification of the vast body of works and their installation. Working %AB with %BB and %AB against %BB the machine to impose curatorial choices—this was the starting point for the project when the colors of Daniel Buren’s emblematic worksemerged as an obvious choice for creating a unique scenographic journey.
Far from traditional thematic or chronological exhibitions, Stop The Machine offers a sensory experience ranging from color to color, from shadow to light, and from participation to contemplation.
Opening on September 26, 2026.
