Néerlandais (Pays-Bas) Het Museum voor lokale geschiedenis over de Oorlogen van de Vendée verhuist deze zomerin de Cathelineau-kapel in Saint Florent-le-Vieil en is geopend voor zijn tentoonstelling van zaterdag 4 juli tot en met zondag 30 augustus 2026, van woensdag tot en met zondag van 14.30 tot 18.30 uur.
Een mooie gelegenheid om een tentoonstelling te ontdekken die gewijd is aan de Grote Oorlog van de Vendée van 1793 tot 1796. De tentoonstelling begint met een video die de achtergrond van deze grote opstand belicht, waarna de grote leiders van de Vendée worden voorgesteld, met name Charette, in het vervolg op de film „Vaincre ou mourir“ (Overwinnen of sterven), Stofflet, wiens ware gelaat is gereconstrueerd, en Bonchamps, wiens graf in de abdijkerk van Saint-Florent-le-Vieil in 1823 door de hertogin van Angoulême werd ingewijd. Er wordt ook een terugblik gegeven op dit bezoek en op de bouw van de zogenaamde %AB Vendéense zuil %BB.
Aan het einde van de route biedt een kleine boekhandel enkele boeken en stripverhalen over de oorlogen in de Vendée aan.

Anglais The Local History Museum on the Vendée Wars is relocating for this summerto the Cathelineau Chapel in Saint Florent-le-Vieil, where it will be open for its exhibition from Saturday, July 4, through Sunday, August 30, 2026, Wednesday through Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This is an opportunity to explore an exhibition dedicated to the Great War of the Vendée from 1793 to 1796. The exhibition begins with a video presenting the context of this major uprising, followed by a presentation of the great Vendée leaders—and more specifically Charette, as seen in the film *Vaincre ou mourir* (Conquer or Die), Stofflet, whose true face has been reconstructed, and Bonchamps, whose tomb in the abbey church of Saint-Florent-le-Vieil was inaugurated by the Duchess of Angoulême in 1823. A recap of this visit and the construction of the column known as the “Vendéens’ Column” is also presented.
At the end of the tour, a small bookstore features a selection of books and comic books on the Wars of the Vendée.
