Trésor de Vix de tentoonstelling "Le Bal de la Loba" (1989-2012), gewijd aan beeldend kunstenaar en ontwerper Jean-Pierre Garrault (1942-2024). Deze multidisciplinaire kunstenaar, die zich in 1978 in de Côte-d'Or vestigde en voormalig directeur was van het ontwerpbureau van Roche Bobois, was een gepassioneerd archeoloog. Having settled in the Côte-d'Or in 1978, this multi-disciplinary artist and former director of the Roche Bobois design office was a passionate archaeologist. His participation in the 1989 excavations at the Gallo-Roman site of Vertillum, and in particular the excavation of an impressive "horse pit", had a profound effect on his imagination.
This confrontation with the remains gave rise to the 'Les Chevaux de Vertault' series, a series of powerful oil and charcoal paintings depicting equine skulls and vertebrae.
