"Dans la dernière décennie du XIXe siècle, un nombre important de peintres découvrent Perros-Guirec.
Quittant les ateliers parisiens, ces artistes trouvent sur cette côte si singulière, le terreau indispensable pour nourrir leur art. Au fil des années, la grande majorité de ces artistes se fidélise au lieu, faisant de Perros-Guirec un site pictural de première importance."

„Im letzten Jahrzehnt des 19. Jahrhunderts entdeckten zahlreiche Maler Perros-Guirec.
Diese Künstler verließen ihre Pariser Ateliers und fanden an dieser so einzigartigen Küste den unverzichtbaren Nährboden für ihre Kunst. Im Laufe der Jahre schloss sich die große Mehrheit dieser Künstler dem Ort an und machte Perros-Guirec zu einem Malort von höchster Bedeutung.“
