Allemand (Allemagne) Nach einer Kindheit in Saudi-Arabien und einem idealisierten Ägypten als gelobtes Land vor seiner Ankunft in Frankreich, wo er nun lebt, hatte dieser leuchtende Komponist und Interpret bereits 2019 bei Les Suds mit Le Cri du Caire (2023 mit einer Victoire du Jazz ausgezeichnet) ein stehendes und weinendes Publikum angesprochen. Für sein neues Projekt Peacok Dreams holt sich der Poet-Slammer-Philosoph den Einfallsreichtum von zwei Posaunisten ins Boot: Robinson Khoury, ein junger französischer Musiker mit libanesischen Wurzeln, und Jules Boittin, Mitglied mehrerer sechseckiger Ensembles. Inspiriert von Jazz und ägyptischen Klängen, erforschen sie eine völlig neue Klangsprache. Zwischen Sufi-Psalmen und dekonstruierten Klängen, Sprechgesang und Klangexperimenten, kosmopolitisch oder sogar tierisch, oder beim Eintauchen in die brodelnde Stadt Kairo, bietet das Trio ein numinoses musikalisches Ufo, das ebenso anspruchsvoll wie wertvoll ist!

Ispirati dal jazz e dalle sonorità egiziane, esplorano un nuovo linguaggio sonoro. Tra salmodie sufi e suoni destrutturati, canto ed esperimenti sonori, cosmopolita e persino animale, o immerso nella ribollente città del Cairo, il trio offre un numinoso UFO musicale tanto impegnativo quanto prezioso!
