Questa conferenza offrirà una panoramica su come i fari, a lungo considerati semplici impianti di segnalazione marittima, siano progressivamente diventati un patrimonio emblematico delle nostre coste. La conferenza affronterà questa evoluzione in Francia e a livello internazionale, soffermandosi in particolare sulle sfide relative alla tutela, al restauro, all’apertura al pubblico e alla trasmissione di questo patrimonio marittimo.

Anglais The association Les Vigies du Minou, with the support of the City of Plouzané, is organizing a lecture by Vincent Guigueno, historian, chief heritage curator, and specialist in the history of lighthouses.
This lecture will shed light on how lighthouses—long considered merely maritime signaling devices—have gradually become an iconic part of our coastal heritage. It will explore this evolution in France and internationally, focusing in particular on the challenges of protecting, restoring, opening to the public, and passing on this maritime heritage.

Néerlandais (Pays-Bas) De vereniging „Les Vigies du Minou“ organiseert, met steun van de gemeente Plouzané, een lezing door Vincent Guigueno, historicus en hoofdconservator van het erfgoed, gespecialiseerd in de geschiedenis van vuurtorens.
Deze lezing werpt een licht op de manier waarop vuurtorens, die lange tijd werden beschouwd als louter maritieme signaalinstallaties, geleidelijk aan zijn uitgegroeid tot een symbolisch erfgoed van onze kusten. De lezing gaat in op deze ontwikkeling in Frankrijk en daarbuiten, waarbij met name aandacht wordt besteed aan de uitdagingen op het gebied van bescherming, restauratie, openstelling voor het publiek en overdracht van dit maritieme erfgoed.
