In today's talkative, not to say noisy, world, what has become of the music of words? The song of poetry? How can we preserve the power of storytelling, of the spoken word, as an indispensable bridge between our imaginations and reality?
this year, music isn't just something to be heard: it's something to be told.
From Igor Stravinsky and Franz Schubert to song and storytelling, the richness of the link between music and language is on display. Children will be invited to sing, legends will be invented in the Abbey, soldiers' tales will be read, and women's voices will be given pride of place, with numerous female composers featured in the programs.
Between the unspoken and the unspeakable, there are so many common stories to be told!
We may not be able to tell each other everything, but at least we'll have created the space to listen to each other.

Was ist aus der Musik der Worte geworden in einer Welt, die so geschwätzig, um nicht zu sagen laut ist? Der Gesang der Poesie? Wie können wir die Kraft der Erzählung und des Wortes als unverzichtbare Brücke zwischen unseren Vorstellungen und der Realität bewahren?
in diesem Jahr ist die Musik nicht nur zu hören, sondern auch zu erzählen und zu sagen.
Von Igor Strawinsky über Franz Schubert bis hin zu Liedern und Märchen wird der Reichtum der Verbindung zwischen Musik und Sprache entfaltet. Kinder werden zum Singen eingeladen, die Abtei erfindet Legenden, Rezitationen von Soldaten werden vorgelesen und die Stimme der Frauen wird mit zahlreichen Komponistinnen, die in den Programmen vertreten sind, geehrt.
Zwischen dem Sagbaren und dem Unsagbaren gibt es so viele gemeinsame Geschichten zu erzählen!
Wir werden uns sicherlich nicht alles sagen, aber wir werden zumindest den Raum geschaffen haben, um einander zuzuhören.

D'Igor Stravinsky et Franz Schubert, en passant par la chanson et les contes, c'est la richesse du lien entre musique et langage qui se déploie. Les enfants seront conviés à chanter, l'Abbaye s'inventera des légendes, des récites de soldats seront lus et la voix des femmes sera mise à l'honneur avec de nombreuses compositrices présentes dans les programmes.
Entre dicible et indicible, tant d'histoires communes sont à raconter!
On ne se dira sûrement pas tout mais on aura au moins créé l'espace pour s'écouter.

En un mundo tan parlanchín como el actual, ¿qué ha sido de la música de las palabras? ¿El canto de la poesía? ¿Cómo podemos preservar el poder de la narración, de la palabra hablada, como puente indispensable entre nuestra imaginación y la realidad?
este año, la música no es sólo algo que se oye: es algo que se cuenta.
Desde Igor Stravinsky y Franz Schubert hasta la canción y la narración, se mostrará la riqueza del vínculo entre música y lenguaje. Se invitará a los niños a cantar, se inventarán leyendas en la Abadía, se leerán historias de soldados y se dará protagonismo a las voces femeninas, con numerosas compositoras en los programas.
Entre lo que no se dice y lo que no se puede decir, ¡hay tantas historias comunes que contar!
No nos lo contaremos todo, pero al menos habremos creado un espacio para escucharnos.
