"Situated on the Alsace Wine Route, about twenty kilometres west of Strasbourg, Soultz-les Bains is a charming wine village with two large perpendicular streets. Its parish church is slightly set back from the main road. It is built on a former cemetery of the Merovingian period\n\n\n\nThe present church in neo-gothic style has preserved a bell tower which is the former choir of the original church with the carved decoration on its original vault. In order to rebuild the church, the old materials were salvaged. The interior of the building contains objects from the old building: paintings of Crucifixion by Daniche (late 18th century), baptismal font and Christ on the Cross, painting of Saint Maurice by Joseph Seelenmayer (1847). The reliquary bust of Saint Morand from the 16th or 17th century comes from the former chapel dedicated to him, which was destroyed in 1818. The Silbermann organ (1762) is the former organ of the Catholic church of Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune in Strasbourg.
