Special opening of the Contades Library
Housed in the Mayor's office, the prestigious Bibliothèque de Contades opens its doors to the public. Presented by Joëlle Guillouard, Director of the Médiathèque de La Ferté-Macé, this visit will also reveal the original plans and drawings made by Wilfrid Challemel during the construction of the library.
With over 10,000 books, this remarkable black-and-gold library, with its mezzanine floor, features floor-to-ceiling shelving on every wall. A spectacular place worthy of a castle, it will amaze all book and heritage lovers.

Saturday September 19: 10am to 12:30pm (closed in the afternoon due to a wedding)
Sunday September 20: 10am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 6:30pm
