Allemand (Allemagne) Die Ausstellung hat ihren Ursprung in der Geschichte des Charles Michels-Gebäudes, das einst ein großes Stoff- und Bekleidungsgeschäft war. Diese Erinnerung an den Ort verbindet sich mit dem Wunsch, sich für die Erzählungen des Alltags zu interessieren, für das, was uns vertraut ist und was wir teilen.
Die Ausstellung untersucht die Rolle der Kleidung in der zeitgenössischen Kunst, die abwechselnd als Identitätsmerkmal, Körperverlängerung oder zweite Haut betrachtet wird. Vom Stoff zum Fetischobjekt, vom Weben zu den Rohstoffen - pflanzliche, tierische oder petrochemische - bis hin zur Verwendung von Second-Hand-Kleidung. Die versammelten Werke hinterfragen die Art und Weise, wie Körper, ob sichtbar oder unsichtbar, durch Kleidung betrachtet, dargestellt und durchquert werden.

Français (France) L’exposition prend sa source dans l’histoire du bâtiment Charles Michels, autrefois grand magasin de tissus et de vêtements. Cette mémoire du lieu rejoint la volonté de s’intéresser aux récits du quotidien, à ce qui nous est familier et partagé.
Elle explore la place du vêtement dans les pratiques artistiques contemporaines, envisagé tour à tour comme marqueur d’identité, prolongement du corps ou seconde peau. Du tissu à l’objet-fétiche, du tissage aux matières premières — végétales, animales ou pétrochimiques — jusqu’aux usages de la seconde main. Les œuvres réunies interrogent les manières dont les corps, visibles ou invisibilisés, sont regardés, représentés et traversés par le vêtement.
