Anglais The Caraïbos Lacanau Pro is one of the oldest stages of the professional surf circuit.
It is one of the 2 qualifying stages in France for the Championship Tour, to compette for the World Surf League title.
This year, the Caraïbos Lacanau Pro changes it's visage : the program becames actualised and committed
- The surf obviously stays the main subject of the event with a competition of AS 1000 with more than 100 female and mail competitors and a prize of 20 000 $.
- Skateboarding becomes also part of the activities with demonstrations and competitions.
- "Fête de la mer", the French celebration for the honour of the sea and ocean open the festivities with fireworks on 15 August. Caraïbos Lacanau Pro is also a promess of an event engaged to social and environmental matters.
