Description

Anglais Daniel Legrand, an industrialist from the Bruche valley and a disciple of Oberlin, created a school in Lafrimbolle in 1846 to educate the children of the Protestant families in the area. Three years later, this school was converted into an oratory in 1849. The school was abolished in 1885. The oratory was later enlarged and became a temple. Since 1927 the building has kept its present appearance.

Néerlandais (Pays-Bas) Daniel Legrand, een industrieel uit de vallei van Bruche en een leerling van Oberlin, richtte in 1846 in Lafrimbolle een school op om de kinderen van de protestantse families in de streek te onderwijzen. Drie jaar later werd de school in 1849 omgebouwd tot een oratorium. De school werd afgeschaft in 1885. Het oratorium werd later uitgebreid en werd een kerk. Sinds 1927 heeft het gebouw zijn huidige uiterlijk behouden.

Allemand (Allemagne) Daniel Legrand, ein Industrieller aus dem Bruche-Tal und Schüler von Oberlin, richtete 1846 in Lafrimbolle eine Schule ein, um die Kinder der protestantischen Familien aus der Umgebung zu unterrichten. Italien (Italie) Daniel Legrand, industriale della valle della Bruche e discepolo di Oberlin, creò una scuola a Lafrimbolle nel 1846 per educare i figli delle famiglie protestanti della zona. Tre anni dopo, la scuola fu trasformata in oratorio nel 1849. La scuola fu abolita nel 1885. L'oratorio fu poi ampliato e divenne una chiesa. Dal 1927 l'edificio ha mantenuto l'aspetto attuale.
