"The libraries in Caen-la-Mer are joining forces to showcase hip-hop culture through three exhibitions (BAdT, Gr\u00E2ce-de-Dieu, H\u00E9rouville-Saint-Clair) and a variety of events: workshops, talks, conferences, concerts, film screenings, breakdance battles\u2026\nAll too often seen simply as a dance form, hip-hop is in fact a diverse artistic and cultural movement that manifests itself in at least four founding disciplines: DJing, breakdancing, graffiti and rap. \nAs part of this exhibition, the Alexis de Tocqueville Library invites visitors to trace the history of hip-hop through the work of Caen-based DJ Phuncky Doyen and photographer Big Daddy. For this event, Phuncky Doyen is lending part of his incredible collection of vinyl records and various artefacts.
