Mi primera serie situaba a la figura en el centro: el rostro era el foco principal, y el fondo, tratado de forma rápida, permanecía deliberadamente discreto.
La atención se centraba en la expresión y la presencia del sujeto.
Ahora avanzo hacia un enfoque en el que el fondo adquiere un papel más importante. Los colores, las texturas y el movimiento se convierten en elementos que contribuyen a la construcción del retrato. El rostro y el fondo responden el uno al otro, complementándose y formando juntos la identidad del cuadro.
Esta investigación es abierta y me permite explorar nuevas formas de resaltar una presencia. " Naïke Diz

In my early series, the subject was the focal point: the face conveyed the essence of the portrait, while the background—sketched quickly—remained deliberately understated.
