Set to the sound of percussion, clarinet, and flute, the performance features texts written by Caribbean, African, and African American authors, brought to life and staged by actor/performer Otomo De Manuel. The movements of dancer and choreographer Boukson Séré complete this protean tableau, fueled by improvisation and emulation, where each element draws on the others to offer the audience a total sensory experience. Voor zijn nieuwe project combineert het EPO African Trio de eeuwenoude ritmes en hypnotiserende grooves van West-Afrika met zwarte poëzie en dans. Op de klanken van percussie, klarinet en fluit klinken teksten geschreven door Caribische, Afrikaanse en Afro-Amerikaanse auteurs, die door acteur/performer Otomo De Manuel worden voorgedragen en op het podium gebracht.
