Français (France) L’exposition “HORS CHAMPS” du photographe Pascal GRIMAUD, également présentée au sein des rencontres d’Arles de la photographie “GRAND ARLES EXPRESS 2026”; évoque la Provence de Mistral, longtemps idéalisée, fictionnée ou romancée qui entre Rhône, Durance et Alpilles ne cesse, comme l'ensemble du territoire, de se transformer.
Le paysage en est le témoin et l'empreinte vivante. Les voies de communication, les extensions de l'habitat, mais aussi l'abandon des pratiques agricoles en sont les cicatrices. Les chevaux d’agrément succèdent aux paysans, l'herbe tondue aux cultures, les portails, brise-vues et murets remplacent les haies nourricières.
Ici, il est question de l’appréhension d'un territoire et de son inventaire photographique, comme référent culturel, matrice de la construction d'une identité. Les images sont des parcelles de cette connaissance empirique d'un pays, territoire de jeux, d'apprentissage, d'altérité et de peurs.
Cette exposition a été construite à partir de quatre séries distinctes, réalisées entre 2015 et 2025, dont deux, Le temps présent* et L’hortus** ont été édité.

Allemand (Allemagne) Die Ausstellung HORS CHAMPS des Fotografen Pascal GRIMAUD, die auch im Rahmen des Fototreffens GRAND ARLES EXPRESS 2026 in Arles gezeigt wird, erinnert an die lange Zeit idealisierte, fiktionalisierte oder romantisierte Provence Mistrals, die sich zwischen Rhône, Durance und Alpilles, wie die gesamte Region, ständig verändert.
