Giocattoli popolari, sculture in legno galleggiante o in gusci di ostriche, disegni a matita colorata sul tema dello sport, dipinti a pennellate spesse, sculture in granito o in agglomerato di polvere di pietra: tante creazioni singolari da scoprire.
Attraverso questa collezione e questo progetto espositivo, la storia di questi artisti poco conosciuti continua a essere raccontata e condivisa.

Anglais A Spotlight on Rural Life and Unsung Artists.
Twenty artists, twenty worlds, and one thing in common: Jean-François Vrod. For years, this musician with a passion for folk art has set out to meet men and women who create in private—in their gardens, on the beach, in the street, or in their homes.
His collection has been built around these unconventional individuals, who have no formal artistic training and are primarily based in rural areas.
Folk toys, sculptures made of driftwood or oyster shells, colored-pencil drawings on the theme of sports, thickly applied paintings, sculptures in granite or stone powder agglomerate: all unique creations waiting to be discovered.
Through this collection and this exhibition project, the stories of these little-known artists continue to be told and shared.

Néerlandais (Pays-Bas) Een ode aan het platteland en aan onbekende kunstenaars.
Twintig kunstenaars, twintig werelden en één gemeenschappelijk punt: Jean-François Vrod. Jarenlang is deze muzikant, gepassioneerd door volkskunst, op pad gegaan om mannen en vrouwen te ontmoeten die in alle bescheidenheid creatief bezig zijn, in hun tuin, op het strand, op straat of thuis.
Zijn collectie is opgebouwd rond deze atypische persoonlijkheden, zonder artistieke opleiding, die zich voornamelijk op het platteland bewegen.
Volksspeelgoed, sculpturen van drijfhout of oesterschelpen, kleurpotloodtekeningen met sport als thema, dik aangebrachte schilderijen, sculpturen van graniet of steenpoederagglomeraat: zoveel bijzondere creaties om te ontdekken.
Via deze collectie en dit tentoonstellingsproject wordt het verhaal van deze onbekende kunstenaars verder verteld en gedeeld.

Allemand (Allemagne) Ein Ort für das Landleben und unbekannte Künstler.
Zwanzig Künstler, zwanzig Welten und eine Gemeinsamkeit: Jean-François Vrod. Jahrelang hat sich dieser von Volkskunst begeisterte Musiker auf die Suche nach Männern und Frauen begeben, die ganz im Verborgenen kreativ sind – in ihrem Garten, am Strand, auf der Straße oder in ihren eigenen vier Wänden.
Seine Sammlung hat sich um diese ungewöhnlichen Persönlichkeiten herum gebildet, die keine künstlerische Ausbildung haben und hauptsächlich im ländlichen Raum tätig sind.
Volksspielzeug, Skulpturen aus Treibholz oder Austernschalen, Buntstiftzeichnungen zum Thema Sport, pastose Gemälde, Skulpturen aus Granit oder Steinmehlagglomerat: all dies sind einzigartige Kreationen, die es zu entdecken gilt.
Durch diese Sammlung und dieses Ausstellungsprojekt wird die Geschichte dieser unbekannten Künstler weiterhin erzählt und weitergegeben.

Vingt artistes, vingt univers et un point commun : Jean-François Vrod. Durant des années, ce musicien passionné d’art populaire est parti à la rencontre d’hommes et de femmes qui créent de manière confidentielle, dans leur jardin, sur la plage, dans la rue ou au sein de leur habitation.
Sa collection s’est constituée autour de ces personnalités atypiques, sans formation artistique, évoluant principalement en milieu rural.
Jouets populaires, sculptures en bois flotté ou en coquilles d’huîtres, dessins aux crayons de couleur sur le thème du sport, peintures épaisses, sculptures en granit ou en agglomérat de poudre de pierre : autant de créations singulières à découvrir.
À travers cette collection et ce projet d’exposition, l’histoire de ces artistes méconnus continue d’être racontée et partagée.
